Mohsen Emadi, Poeta, traductor, programador y cineasta. Emadi estudió Ingeniería Informática en la Universidad Tecnológica de Sharif, Irán,  Cultura Digital en la Universidad de Jyväskylä, Finlandia y es Doctor en Letras por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Ha publicado los poemarios La flor en los renglones (Lola Editorial, España, 2003, trad. de Clara Janés), No hablamos de sus ojos (Goo Publishing, Irán, 2007), Las leyes de la gravedad (Olifante, España, 2011, trad. de Clara Janés), Visible como el aire, legible como la muerte (Olifante, España, 2012, trad. varios), Abismal (CrC, México, 2016, trad. varios), Standing on Earth (Phoneme Media, EE.UU., 2016, trad. de Lyn Coffin) and Suomalainen Iltapäivä (Olifante, version de Antonio Gamoneda entre otros); así como el libro de conversaciones con Clara Janés y Antonio Gamoneda, De la realidad y la poesía (Vaso Roto, 2010). Su poesía ha sido traducida a varios idiomas, y es fundador y editor de la Antología persa de poesía mundial. Como realizador, ha dirigido varios documentales poéticos entre los que destacan Querido Antonio, sobre la influencia de la Guerra Civil en la poesía de Antonio Gamoneda; La única patria, que contiene la última entrevista de Juan Gelman, o Un poeta y su exilio, acerca del exilio de Luis Cernuda en México. Su trabajo poético ha recibido diversos reconocimientos, como el Premio Internacional de Poesía de Miedo (Casa del Poeta, Trasmoz, España, 2010), la Beca FILI (Finnish Literature Exchange, Finlandia, 2010), la IV Beca Internacional Antonio Machado (Soria, España, 2011), la Beca ICORN (Red internacional de ciudades para escritores refugiados, 2012-2015) y la VI Distinción Poetas de Otros Mundos (Fondo Poético Internacional, 2015). Actualmente reside en México.

 

Mohsen Emadi, is an Iranian/Mexican poet, translator, programmer and filmmaker. Emadi holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, a MA in Digital Culture from University of Jyvaskyla and a PhD in Comparative Literature from National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has published the poetry books La flor en los renglones (Lola Editorial, Spain, 2003, trans. By Clara Janés), We never talked about her eyes (Goo Publishing, Iran, 2007), Las leyes de gravedad (Olifante, Spain, 2011, trad. by Clara Janés), Visible como el aire, legible como la muerte (Olifante, Spain, 2012, various trad.), Abismal (CrC, Mexico, 2016, various trad.), Standing on Earth (Phoneme Media, USA, 2016, trans. By Lyn Coffin), Suomalainen Iltapäivä (Olifante, version of Antonio Gamoneda among others); as well as the book of conversations with Clara Janés and Antonio Gamoneda, De la realidad y la poesía (Vaso Roto, 2010). Appeared in numerous anthologies and his poetry has been translated into several languages. He is the founder and editor of the Persian Anthology of World Poetry. As a filmmaker, he has directed several poetic documentaries, among which Querido Antonio stands out, on the influence of the Civil War on Antonio Gamoneda’s poetry; La ùnica patria, which contains the last interview of Juan Gelman, or Donde habite el olvido, about Luis Cernuda’s exile in Mexico. He was an active member of Iranian Student Protests of July 1999, and again 10 years later, 2009 Iranian presidential election protests, the latter forcing him to leave the country and consequently he lived in Finland, Czech Republic, Spain and Mexico. His poetic work has received various awards, such as the International Prize of poesìa de miedo (Casa del Poeta, Trasmoz, Spain, 2010), the FILI Scholarship (Finnish Literature Exchange, Finland, 2010), the IV Antonio Machado International Scholarship (Soria, Spain, 2011), the ICORN Scholarship (International Network of Cities for Refugee Writers, 2012-2015) and the VI Poets of Other Worlds Distinction (International Poetic Fund, 2015).
